About the Artwork:

Many of Cenedella's works are referred to as visionary. This painting, done in 1980, seems to reflect the feelings of many since the September 11th, 2001 destruction of the World Trade Center. While in times of peace such issues are easily ignored, strong feelings of vulnerability continues to permeate the U.S. since the attacks, and “No Exit” delivers a message that seems impossible to ignore.
